23-year-old arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker in Exeter

Police investigating an assault on a man in Exeter are appealing for information to help with their enquiries.

Officers were called to reports of an altercation outside St Sidwell’s Chapel, on Sidwell Street, between 3.30pm and 4pm, on Tuesday 15 June.

It is understood that there were a number of people in the vicinity at the time and police would like anyone who witnessed the assault or has any information which could assist police enquiries to get in touch.

A 23-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker, and has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries, to return on Saturday 24 July.
