£200 fines after police break up house party
Avon and Somerset Police fined seven people at the weekend after they broke up a house party - some travelled from other parts of the Westcountry to attend.
They were each handed £200 pound fines, following the incident in Bristol.
Two people had travelled from Devon to attend.
The incident has attracted mixed responses online, with one person posting: "Good to know you're protecting us from people who are ignoring their responsibility for stopping the spread of this horrible virus.
"My thoughts are with your officers who risk their own health for the sake of others."
Another person wrote: "How many serious crimes were committed on friday night?
"How many house burglaries, how many cars stolen, how many garages or sheds broken in to?
"How many muggings? Real crime needs to be dealt with not some idiots having a party."
