Some customers experienced lower water pressure and disruption for much of the weekend following the burst in the SK17 area at Chapel Martin last week, and an air lock in the distribution system.

In a statement this morning the company say they have rectified the problem and issued this message:

"We're happy to say that all water supplies should now be back on in your area. We cannot apologise enough for what has no doubt been an incredibly frustrating time. Our teams have now fixed the issue and your water supply will be returning.

"It's common to experience some discoloration or cloudy water and changes to pressure, this is nothing to worry about and will settle down soon.

"We'd like to say sorry once again and thank you for your cooperation whilst this was ongoing."
