Warnings over dealing with waste after company fined

Evidence was retrieved from fly-tipping

There are fresh warnings to local businesses over their disposal of commercial waste.

A business in Clowne was handed a fixed penalty notice for failing to ensure they had appropriate arrangements. It's after evidence was retrieved from fly-tipped waste in Bolsover by the district council's enforcement team.

The authority say the business owner was issued with a legal notice to produce legally required waste documentation to prove where their waste was disposed of and failed to comply.

Companies are reminded to retain documentation that shows their waste is collected by licensed waste collectors and disposed of correctly for up to two years.
