Two lanes have closed on the M1 southbound due to an accident involving two cars.

Traffic has been queuing for six miles from J29 A617 (Chesterfield / Mansfield) to J28 A38 (Alfreton / Mansfield).

Lanes one and two (of four) are closed. Travel time is 25 minutes.

We've contacted Derbyshire Police for a statement.
