Three large trailer units containing hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of goods have been stolen in Derby.

They were taken from an HGV storage unit in Litchurch Lane some time between 6pm on Monday 13 December and 6am the following morning (14 December).

The contents of a fourth trailer were also stolen.

Detective Staff Investigator Katie Carter said:

“Since this incident was reported to us on 22 December, we have been following several lines of enquiry.

“We believe the trailers were driven along Sir Frank Whittle Road, Derby, and the A61 between the Pektron and Little Eaton roundabouts, at around 4am on 14 December.

“Anyone who was travelling these routes at the time, with dash cam installed, is asked to check their footage, as we believe this could have captured the trailers being moved.

“If you have any footage or information that may help with our investigation, please get in touch quoting reference 21*744064.”

The trailers are understood to have contained white goods, gym equipment, garden furniture and returned items from an online retailer.
