As people come to terms with the passing Her Majesty The Queen, we've been hearing from a local care home on the ways their residents are processing the news.

Activities lead at Kiwi House in Alvaston, Mark Whithorn says flower arranging has been one important activity:

"Our residents have of course grown up following the Queen. For them it is such an important aspect of their lives to see what we're doing and to pay their respects"

Mark went on to say that residents have written their own condolence letters too which was significant,

"For that hour or so, they had smiles on their faces. They were happy that they were doing something to show their respects."
