Saving energy measures at Buxton Opera House

No performances will be impacted in the moves

One of Derbyshire’s favourite theatres says performances won’t be impacted as they take measures over increased energy costs.

Buxton Opera House will close on Mondays next month, which are all non-show days. Customers will still be able to buy tickets over the phone and online, bosses say.

Venue staff, including the Box Office team, will be working remotely or at the offices across the road from the theatre.

The team go on to advise not to come to the venue on the closure days as customers won't be able to buy or collect tickets in person at those times. They also add that phone lines may be busier than usual.

Finally, the Opera House say:

"We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but we hope that you will understand Buxton Opera House's responsibility to become more environmentally sustainable at this time."
