The third storm in under a week's causing disruption across Derbyshire in particular.

Temporary flood defences have been installed in Matlock and Matlock Bath, and a house roof was blown off on Wilson Street.

The Environment Agency has issued dozens of flood warnings for the county in the last 24 hours.

Derbyshire Police said Storm Franklin was expected to continue to cause disruption across the county throughout today.

Matlock Town Council said there were "devastating" levels of flooding in the town and urged people not to travel or visit during the bad weather.

Babington Hospital, in Belper, has been forced to closed due to flooding on Monday with appointments cancelled.

A statement from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue says:

"Firefighters and emergency services are currently dealing with a property that has had its roof blown off in the storm.

"At 16:15 hours, Firefighters were called to a terraced property on Wilson Street in Derby where the wind had blown the roof from the building causing damage to five other properties.

"Firefighters from Ascot Drive, Kingsway and Nottingham Road are at the scene with an aerial ladder platform and major rescue unit.

"All persons are accounted for, and no one has been injured in the incident. Emergency planning officers are supporting the occupants.

"A cordon remains in place at the scene and people are asked to avoid the area."
