Restrictions in place after Ladybower fire
Crews were called to a blaze on Tuesday afternoon
The site at Ladybower Reservoir remains closed today (Wednesday 20 July) following the incident yesterday.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue say they were first alerted to a fire in the high temperatures during the afternoon.
There was reaction on social media as people reported seeing smoke and flames from miles away.
Bosses at the site off the A57 Snake Pass say it remains closed while the fire service continues to work and advise the public to keep away from the area's tracks.
Earlier, the fire service released pictures of a camp stove and disposable barbecue with fresh warnings over using them on open grassland.
