It has been a challenging week for some residents in Derbyshire following the murders in Killamarsh over the weekend, but the county has still honoured Derbyshire Day 2021 by making the most of the area and celebrating the people in it.

The day takes places every year on the 22nd September, and people all over have been flying the Derbyshire flag in either their homes or workplaces as a symbol of pride for the county and all that it has to offer.

Lots of residents have been sharing what they love most about living in the idyllic countryside, and the fondness they have for neighbouring towns and villages, as well as going out for walks to make the most of some scenic views.

Residents took to social media today to share how they have been celebrating.
