Police issue statement after body found in the River Derwent

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances around the death

The body of a man has been found in the River Derwent at Allestree in Derby.

As of Wednesday afternoon, May 17th, formal identification is yet to take place, but it is thought to be Peter, who was reported missing from the local area on Thursday 11 May.

His family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances around the death.
