Police appeal to trace man after girl approached in Newhall

Derbyshire Police have put out a CCTV appeal to trace a man.

It's following reports a girl was approached in Newhall.

It happened on Plummer Road, near to Chrysanthemum Court, between 8am and 8.50am on Friday 3 February.

A girl reported she was approached by a man who tried to grab her as she was walking past.

Police say the man is described as being aged between 30 and 45 years old, with brown un-brushed hair and was wearing jogging bottoms and a grey t-shirt.

He may have also had a cut or scar on his cheek.

It is thought the road may have been busy with passing traffic.
