Patrols increased after shooting in Derby village

Derbyshire Police have kept up patrols in the Derby village of Mackworth following a shooting there last Wednesday (14 September).

A man was left with serious injuries to his stomach following an incident on Ilford Drive.

9 people have so far been arrested, including a number of teenagers who've been questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, remains in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

A second man, aged 33, suffered a cut to the head after it is believed he was assaulted nearby.
