North Derbyshire hotel owner admits concern over the future of the hospitality industry

A North Derbyshire hotel owner is calling on the government to do a 'U-Turn' on their plans to make Covid vaccine passports mandatory at nightclubs by the autumn.
The Prime Minister confirmed the news earlier this week, which means all visitors to clubs will need to prove they've had both jabs before they're allowed in by the end of September.
Steve Perez, who runs the Casa hotel in Chesterfield, thinks it's unfair on both the sector and those who want to go clubbing:
"Boris Johnson needs to reverse this decision because I really don't think young people will stand for this.
"Youngsters have already suffered more than any other sector by losing opportunities in work and education, and now they're going to be very likely to lose out on their social life.
"In autumn it'll be nightclubs, before pubs, restaurants and shops will probably be forced to follow on from this.
"Then what? Will we have to have a booster jab in order to go for a meal in a pub or restaurant? This is the thin end of the wedge, and it's really scary."
