All NHS services across Derbyshire continue to be stretched in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

Staff are currently dealing with levels of pressure usually seen in winter months.

Helen Henderson-Spoors from Healthwatch Derbyshire says the demand's set to continue:

"Services and systems are still under a lot of pressure because of the impact of Covid and all that it's created.

"It'll continue to create issues as well, what with potential booster vaccinations and the impact of long covid, along with the pressure of those people who are still waiting to be seen.

"Many people had procedures delayed or cancelled during Covid, so we're doing our best to work through these patients-but staff are truly exhausted at the same time."
