A missing Derby teenager may be sleeping rough in city park.

Junaid Hamayun left his family home in Normanton on Friday 8th October and travelled to Broomfield College. However, he did not return home as expected later that day.

Enquiries by officers have found that Junaid visited the Costa Coffee shop in Kingsway retail park at 9am on Sunday 10th October. He has not been seen or heard from since.

It is now believed the 17-year-old may be sleeping rough after taking a blue sleeping bag from his home. Junaid spent a lot of time in the Markeaton Park area when he was younger and it is believed that this may be an area in which he is now staying.

Anyone with any information about Junaid’s current whereabouts is asked to contact Derbyshire police using any of the below methods, quoting incident 966 of 8 October.
