Work is set to start in January 2022 to reopen Matlock’s river bridge at Hall Leys Park.

It was shut after a structural problem was found, and a further full replacement of the walkway is expected later next year.

Derbyshire Dales Council have also said that the nearest alternative entrance to the park is via Crown Square for the public to visit.

With there being several other pedestrian entrances via Causeway Lane and Knowleston Place.
