Man left with fractured eye socket after assault in Derbyshire

A man's been left injured after a serious assault in North Wingfield. It happened on November 25 at around 8.15pm on New Street.

A man in his 60s was approached by two men who asked for him for money. When he refused, they assaulted him leaving him with a fractured eye socket.

The first man is described as being of thin build, 5ft 10ins tall with a blonde mohawk, wearing a white puffer jacket.

The second man is described as 5ft 9ins tall with a stubble, wearing a dark coloured puffer jacket.

Both are described as being in their mid-20s and had a local accent.

Derbyshire Police said the two men may have spoken to someone moments after the incident, but this person remains unidentified.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time who may be able to help with the investigation.
