Man dies in Chapel en le Frith collision
It happened just after 2pm on Monday afternoon
A man has died in hospital following a collision near to Chapel-en-le-Frith yesterday (Monday 27 June).
Officers were called just after 2.10pm to reports of a collision at the roundabout where the A6 meets the A624 near The Fickle Mermaid pub.
One vehicle was involved, and a man was taken to hospital for treatment, but he died later that night.
The man’s family is aware, and they are being offered support by specially trained officers.
Police closed the road while emergency services dealt with the scene. It was fully reopened around 5pm.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have any dashcam footage of the incident.
