Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman's death in Burton

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a woman's death in Burton.
Police were called to a property on Victoria Crescent at 7pm last night by West Midlands Ambulance Service where she was confirmed dead.
The 35-year-old man, from Burton, was detained by officers and remains in custody.
Detectives have launched an investigation into what happened.
Staffordshire Police have confirmed that the man and woman were known to each other.
The woman's next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are currently supporting her family.
Police have urged anyone with any information to contact them either via the Major Incident Public Portal website or by calling 101 and quoting incident number 601 of 20 October.
