Local opposition anger during PMQs
Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins joined calls for the PM to stand down
It comes after a heated Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons today (Wednesday 12 January) where Boris Johnson admitted attending a garden party in May 2020.
At the time members of the public were only permitted to meet one person from outside their household, but the PM apologised and insisted he had thought it was a work event.
Chesterfield's Labour MP accused the Prime Minister of debasing his position.
Mr. Johnson's called for him to wait for the outcome of an investigation by Sue Gray into the gathering during the first Covid-19 lockdown.
