Investigations are underway after a cyclist died in Wirksworth

A cyclist has died after being found injured in Wirksworth.

The force was called to reports that a cyclist had been found with serious injuries in Derby Road, Wirksworth, at 5.01am (Wednesday 26 April).

Paramedics attended the scene, however, the cyclist, man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have been in the area, or who has CCTV from the area, between 4.50am and 5am and may have captured footage that can assist in the investigation.
