Images after Buxton hotel robbery

Detectives investigating reports of a robbery at a hotel in Buxton have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

They are also wanting to speak to anyone in the local area who may have sold an axe like the one pictured recently, or may have noticed one discarded.

The robbery is believed to have happened at around 5am on Saturday 16 April. A man entered the Buxton Crescent Hotel, on The Crescent, and threatened a member of staff.

He then made off with cash in direction of The Slopes. No one was hurt in the incident, but the staff member was left understandably shaken.
