Four men charged in connection with Duckmanton ATM attack

Four men have been charged in connection with 19 attacks on cash machines in England and Wales, including one in Derbyshire.

An investigation was started following reports that a cash machine had been targeted during a burglary at a Co-op store in Duckmanton in the early hours of Wednesday 11 May.

Detectives at Cheshire Constabulary, who led the investigation into the incidents, arrested the men in the early hours of Thursday 7 July.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and robbery in relation to 19 offences between Saturday 12 March and Thursday 7 July in Cheshire, Merseyside, Manchester, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Leicestershire.

They are:

Arthur Gaskin, aged 35, of no fixed address.​

Lee Leatherbarrow, aged 32, of Lascelles Street in St Helens.

Luke Price, aged 32, of Southward Road in Haydock.

John Price, aged 27, of Boathorse Road in Burslem.

Each remanded in custody at Crewe magistrates last month, they appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday 8 August.
