Derby County defender Craig Forsyth has been handed a retrospective three match ban after the draw against Nottingham Forest.

Forsyth was punished for a challenge against Philip Zinckernagel early on in the game at Pride Park, but has now been suspended by the FA.

It means he'll miss their upcoming Championship fixtures against Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.

In a statement posted on the club's website, Derby County said: "Forsyth was deemed to have committed an act of violent conduct in an incident in the first half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest."

"On-field incidents which are not seen at the time are referred by The FA to a panel of three former elite match officials. For The FA to bring a charge, the decision of the panel must be unanimous."

He'll next be available for the game against Sheffield United on the 25th September.
