Man seriously injured after being trampled by cows
The public are being reminded to take care around livestock
A man is being treated in hospital with serious injuries after being trampled by cows in Derbyshire.
It happened before 7.40am this morning, near Birkinstyle Lane, in Shirland.
Police say the man, who is in his 50s, suffered significant serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
The cows have now been moved away from the area, with police reminding people to take care around livestock, particularly where animals are with their young.
