Many businesses across Derbyshire are under huge financial pressure.

The winter outbreak of the Omicron Covid-19 variant has had a devastating effect on a lot of industries-with staff having to take time off to isolate.

Lucy Robinson from the East Midlands chamber says some businesses are having to pay salaries over and above what they're used to just to fill roles.

She went on to say that support is available for local businesses who're finding it tough to make ends meet.

Grants worth up to £6,000 were made available by the Government in December 2021 to support specific businesses impacted by the Omicron outbreak, but its not enough.
