Zach Parker's WBO interim super-middleweight title fight later this month has been postponed after Demetrius Andrade sustained a shoulder injury.

Derbyshire's Parker was due to face Andrade at Pride Park on May 21, but the American defending champion may need surgery after sustaining a right shoulder injury.

Queensberry Promotions said in a statement:

"Queensbury Promotions have been informed that Demetrius Andrade has sustained a shoulder injury, which has forced him to withdraw from his scheduled interim WBO world super-middleweight title fight with Zach Parker at Pride Park, Derby, on May 21.

"It is with great regret that the decision has been made to postpone the event until the extent of the injury is fully established. A further update will be released in the coming days with a revised fight date and information for ticket buyers."

Andrade, 34, undefeated with 31 wins and 19 knockouts, has beaten both Wales' Liam Williams and Ireland'sJason Quigley in the past year.

Parker, 27, who held the British super-middleweight title from 2018 to 2019, has won all 22 of his fights, stopping Marcus Morrison in his previous fight in Birmingham last November.
