Derby to host rock legends The Who
It's as part of their UK 2023 tour ‘The Who Hits Back!’ with a live orchestra
Legendary rock band The Who visit Derbyshire County Cricket Club's Incora County Ground on Friday 14th July.
Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey and band will be performing music from throughout the band’s nearly 60-year career, including sections devoted to classic albums Tommy & Quadrophenia as well as other beloved Who tracks and songs from their 2019 WHO album, their first studio release in 13 years.
The Incora County Ground is one of the premiere live event venues in Derby, having hosted the likes of Elton John, Michael Buble and Little Mix in recent years.
Chief Executive, Ryan Duckett, said: “It is fantastic to be welcoming rock legends, The Who, to The Incora County Ground this upcoming summer, further enhancing our reputation as a multi-purpose events venue in the heart of the East Midlands.
“It’s the first time The Who will perform in Derby since 1966, they are among the greatest rock bands in music history, with ten UK top ten albums and so many memorable songs.
“This promises to be another spectacular night of musical entertainment for all visitors and a standout date in the calendar for the local community and wider region to enjoy.”
Tickets will be available for general sale from Friday 3 February.
