MPs will come back from their holidays early today to discuss the worsening situation in Afghanistan.

Governments are being urged to do more, after western troops withdrew from the country and huge numbers of people try and flee the country.

One person in Chesterfield told us she hopes that people in Afghanistan are given the chance to come to the UK:

"I hope we can look after the people who've helped our armed forces while they've been out there. Bring them home, bring them here to Chesterfield."

Meanwhile, another male in North Derbyshire reckons the western world should be aiming to reinstate a military presence in Kabul:

"I think the United Nations should be putting troops back out there to bring peace back to the country. We've basically let the people living in Afghanistan down, big time."

Another man told it's time for the Government to 'show leadership':

"The Prime Minister has to act. If not, women's rights in Afghanistan are going to go back to how they were in the stone ages. We've simply go to help where we can.
