Detectives investigating an alleged attempted murder in which a serving police officer was struck by a vehicle have released images of people they want to trace.

PC David Haighton suffered a serious leg injury in the incident, which happened on the Wardwick in Derby city centre in the early hours of Sunday 4 September.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing and officers are now wanting to speak to the people shown in these images as part of their continued work.

Although some of the images are poor in quality, Police hope the individuals may either recognize themselves, or members of the public may be able to identify them.

Four of the CCTV stills are of men, while one is of a woman. One of the men is wearing an Outkast t-shirt.
