The Canal Warehouse at Whaley Bridge removed from Historic England's Risk Register

The Canal Warehouse at Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire has been taken off of a list of historic buildings at risk of being lost - after it was revived as a community venue.

A 19th century warehouse at the end of Derbyshire's Peak District Forest Canal was previously featured on Historic England's Risk Register, but has since had extensive repairs.

The Heritage at Risk Register includes buildings, places of worship, monuments, parks and gardens, conservation areas, battlefields and wreck sites that are listed and have been assessed and found to be at risk.

According to the list - progress has also been made at to restore Torr Vale Mill in New Mills and the Bennerley Viaduct near Ilkeston.

For the rest of Yorkshire, Plumpton Rocks, Harrogate, First White Cloth Hall, Leeds and First White Cloth Hall, Leeds were added to the list.
