It’s the opening night for Buxton Fringe (Tuesday 5th July).

The annual programme of shows, which runs alongside the town’s international festival, has been going over 40 years and managed to keep running online through the pandemic.

Organisers say the level of entries is back at pre-Covid levels for 2022 and promise nearly 3 weeks featuring all sorts of acts, displays and entertainment.

Tonight’s launch party takes place Underground at the Old Clubhouse from 8pm. It'll be followed by comedy, dance and drama at a range of venues including the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton Museum and Poole’s Cavern through to July 24th.
