It may still be winter outside but organisers are looking ahead to this summer's annual celebration.

Buxton Fringe runs alongside the famous international festival during July. A range of acts from around the UK and representing different forms of entertainment and the arts will perform at venues in the town and further afield.

Applications are now welcome for early bird entries up until the end of February.

Marketing officer Stephanie Billen says summer 2022 saw a welcome return for many audiences after Coronavirus restrictions:

"We contributed well over ÂŁ200,000 to the economy during one way or another, taking into account ticket sales. It was so good to see the Fringe back in business in Buxton.

"Already we're planning the event from July 5th to 23rd which will include the Fringe Sunday spectacular line up and our picnic in the park. High Peak Big Band have signed up, and we'll have a float in Buxton Carnival. We've got the Library Theatre Touring Company and magician Casper Thomas who's coming to the Rotunda Theatre.

"We are also looking for volunteers and have a range of roles from helping with administration of the event right through to even just carrying things."
