Appeal after collision on A50
It happened yesterday afternoon (14 July)
Police are appealing for information after a collision between a lorry and car on the A50 yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm yesterday (Thursday 14 July) when a blue Ford Focus Titanium collided with a LGV just after the eastbound junction for the A511 at Foston on the A50.
A young boy, who was passenger in the Focus, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by Air Ambulance where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the Focus, a 62-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains.
The driver of the lorry was uninjured in the incident.
The road was closed for several hours, into the evening, while collision investigation work was carried out.
