A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and is currently in hospital after crashing a car into a house in Derby.

Derbyshire Police say the incident happened on Saturday morning (25 February), with the boy said to be driving a Volkswagen Sharan at the time of the incident.

It happened on Grampian way - which the force say was close to the roundabout that leads onto Swallowdale Road.

A diversion was put in place because of the damaged caused to the house.

The force also says nobody else was injured during the incident, which is reported to have happened at 02.30 in the morning.
