Two teens arrested after Carlisle robbery

A woman was attacked and had to be taken to hospital

Two people are in custody as officers investigate a robbery in Carlisle.

The incident was reported at 7.50pm last night (9 Sept) when a woman was assaulted Kingsmoor Wood, near Lowry Hill Road, suffering facial injuries, and had her phone stolen.

The woman was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment but has since been released.

Officers investigating subsequently arrested a 15-year-old from Longtown and a 17-year-old from Carlisle on suspicion of robbery.

Both remain in police custody.
