Two injured in Workington collision

Police are appealing for information following a two-vehicle collision in Workington.

Officers were called to the collision at 9.49pm yesterday ( April 2 ) on Havelock Road, .

The collision involved two vehicles – a silver Toyota Rav-4 and a red Toyota Yaris

Both the driver of the Yaris, a woman, and the passenger in the car, a man, were taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The man suffered serious injuries while the woman did not suffer serious injuries.

The driver of the Rav-4, a man, and its two passengers, both women, were also taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

The man did not suffer serious injuries. One of the women suffered serious injuries, but the other wasn't seriously hurt.

Police are asking any potential witnesses to come forward.
