Three charged as part of Ryan Kirkpatrick murder probe

Three people will appear at court next month charged with assisting an offender as part of an ongoing murder investigation into the murder of Ryan Kirkpatrick in Carlisle City Centre.

Officers were called to Carlyle’s Court on the evening of Saturday 18th September last year, following a report that a man had been stabbed.

Despite the best efforts of first responders and medical staff, the 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three people charged are:

Ross Neville, 31, of Canonbie, Dumfries & Galloway. He is charged with three counts of assisting an offender.

Michael Celmins, 32, of Irthington, Carlisle. He is charged with two counts of assisting an offender and one count of handling stolen goods.

Olivia Memmory, 22, Cummersdale. She is charged with two counts of assisting an offender.

All three have been bailed and are scheduled to appear at North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 9 June.

Two men have been charged with his murder and are due to stand trial in October.
