Three arrested after warrant in Penrith

Three people have been arrested, after officers from Eden’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) carried out a warrant in Penrith yesterday morning (8 January).

Officers from NPT, alongside officers from Operational Support and Area Intelligence, carried out the misuse of drugs act warrant on Castle Drive.

A 38-year-old man, and a 29-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. A 31-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply Class A drugs and possession of a Class B drug. All remain in police custody.

Sergeant Bennett, from Eden NPT said: “Where we receive intelligence of criminality in our community, particularly where that information relates to allegations of drug supply, action will be taken.

“We continue to encourage anyone with suspicions that illegal activity is taking place in their community to come forward so that intelligence can be acted upon to make our community a safer place.”
