The University of Cumbria is set to welcome around 5,000 visitors to Carlisle this month for its 2025 Summer Graduation Ceremonies.

The events will take place between July 15th to 17th at Carlisle Cathedral, with three ceremonies each day.

Graduates from across the university’s four academic institutes – Education Arts and Society; Health; Science and Environment; and Business, Industry, and Leadership – will come together in the city to mark the milestone.

The university has campuses in Carlisle, Ambleside, Lancaster and London.

Carlisle will once again play host to the university’s largest annual celebration.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Julie Mennell DL, said:

“Graduation is a moment of celebration, reflection and pride—for our students, and the families, friends and supporters who have stood beside them.

“We look forward to celebrating each and every one of our newest graduates here in Carlisle and recognising their considerable achievements and impact to date.

“We know the city will give them a warm welcome, adding to a great experience they can look back on for many years to come. The University of Cumbria looks forward to celebrating the achievements of its students and welcoming them into its global alumni community of 77,000.”
