Schoolgirl assaulted by man in Carlisle

The incident happened on Grey Street a week ago

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Carlisle on 14th June between the hours of 10am and 11:30am.

The incident occurred in the alley behind the playground from Grey Street in the direction of Close Street, Carlisle.

During the incident a man has took hold of a girl of secondary school age’s arm, the girl immediately left the area.

The man is described as in his 50s, mostly bald and of large build. He was described as wearing a quarter zip up fleece jumper in light grey, dark blue baggy denim trousers with a rip on the left leg.
