Renovations are expected to pick up at Brunton Park from next week.

Carlisle United play their last home game of the season tomorrow and work to renovate large parts of the ground is planned to commence afterwards.

Proposals for a new training facility are also being looked at, but a site for the complex is yet to be announced.

The club's currently training ground is prone to flooding - with manager Paul Simpson revealing they've had to travel to Gretna to train more than 40 times this season.

He said;

'There'll be lots of things that are going on in terms of the building work on the far side, and probably the Warwick Road end.

'There's even talk of improvements in the changing room areas here, which need updating because they're stuck in the dark ages.

'We need to keep things moving, and slowly but slowly things are starting to turn round.'

Carlisle have already been relegated from League One and will finish bottom of the table.

They take on Wycombe Wanderers at home tomorrow, before rounding up the campaign with an away trip to Derby County next week.
