Prosecution set to open case in Paul Irwin murder trial
He's accused of killing Tiffany Render in Whitehaven earlier this year
The trial of a man charged with murdering a woman in West Cumbria - will hear from the prosecution for the first time this morning (Wednesday).
Paul Irwin, who's 50, faces two charges - the murder of Tiffany Render in Whitehaven and also sexual assault.
The 34-year-old died in March this year.
Mr Irwin denies both charges.
A jury was selected for the trial on Tuesday afternoon.
The prosecution will open their case today - followed by the defence.
