Dyfed-Powys Police has launched an investigation into a fatal crash which killed one man and left a second person in a serious but stable condition.

Emergency services were called to the Cleddau Bridge on the A477 near Pembroke Dock at around 2:19 Tuesday afternoon, after reports of a car and a 52-person bus colliding.

Several fire and rescue teams attended the seen, and rescued one driver who was described as 'severely trapped'.

It has since been confirmed the driver of the car has died as a result of his injuries, and the driver of the coach remains in hospital.

The coach was carrying travellers from Cumbria. Twenty-four of the passengers were taken to hospital, but all have since been discharged.

The road was reopened at 4:30 Wednesday morning. Police have apologised for any delays caused by the road closure.

Dyfed-Powys Police are now asking for anyone who witnessed the crash, or with further information, to come forward and help officers with their investigation.
