Police investigate dog attack in Workington
It happened earlier this month
Police are investigating a dog bite incident, which happened on 7 January between approximately 11:40am and 12pm on Salterbeck Road, Workington.
The victim was walking near to the cemetery on Salterbeck Road, where two large Rottweiler dogs off leads have run towards her and one of the dogs has bit the victim through her glove, causing three puncture wounds, which required medical attention.
The victim has described the owner of the dogs as a female and that she was wearing a woolly hat and a green/grey long puffer jacket.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the incident or would be able to identify the owner, to come forward.
