Kendal Calling has returned, with acts from across the world taking the stage over the next four days at Lowther Park.
The likes of Nile Rogers, The Blossoms, Royal Blood and Kasabian are set to star.
Revellers should be prepared though, with the weather set to be unfavourable for the majority of the event, it's expected the site will quickly become somewhat of a mudbath.
The temperatures for the weekend remain at a mild average of around 18 degrees, but heavy rain on Thursday and showers for throughout mean if you are attending, bring your waterproofs.
People should also be prepared for a ramp up in police presence entering the event. They'll be stationed at every entrance to Lowther park, with sniffer dogs conducting searches of people and vehicles as they enter.
Aiden Bew is the dog section seargent, he said: "We don't have a single dog that has a malicious bone in it's body, they are all really friendly and we take them to public engagement events all the time.
"When they are conducting searches the dogs don't make contact with people. They scan the area around people, they don't make contact, and then will make an indication to the handler if they detect something that we should be made aware of.
"We're very luck with this festival, it's a family atmosphere, you see a lot of families, kids neighbours and friends coming in. It's really nice, a lovely atmosphere, and the majority of people are just coming to enjoy themselves."
