Police continue to appeal for information after fatal A66 crash

Police investigating a fatal crash on the A66 are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

The collision happened at around 6:10am on Friday 7 July near the Brough junction and involved a pedestrian and a HGV.

The pedestrian, Daniel Stephens, aged 35 from Middlesbrough, died at the scene.

Officers are appealing for drivers travelling on the A66 between 5:30am and 6:15am on 7 July who may have witnessed or have dash cam of a pedestrian by a white BMW 3 series.

They're also specifically looking to speak with a HGV driver who stopped before the incident and may have spoken with the pedestrian.
