Police appeal launched following assault in Barrow

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in a Barrow street where a man was reportedly attacked with a bottle.

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in a Barrow street where a man was reportedly attacked with a bottle.

The suspect is described as being a white male, tall and of slim build. He was reportedly wearing a grey jacket, grey shorts and black socks which were pulled up high.

The victim, a 29-year-old man from Barrow, sustained a head injury requiring hospital treatment. It's reported that the attacker used a glass bottle as a weapon during the incident.

Officers would like to hear from those who witnessed the incident or have information on who the suspect is.
